One of the coolist things I saw at CES is Badger. Live captioning right on a badge is tech looking to solve a real problem. thanks to Mike Williston.
Did it have a translation function built in?
Man. I would have loved to have this during my hospitalization this summer. As a HoH person, communication with nurses was more stressful than the medical procedure itself (which was absolutely painful) This needs to be implemented as a mandatory tool in healthcare.
Matt Ater Do you know if you can then get a transcript of the conversation emailed to you? For the patient, it would give them the option to share with their support system.
We gotta have him and this device at the ALDACON EXHIBITING!!!!!!
I am so proud to be associated with this incredible company and product. Talk about a game changer for anyone with #hearingloss as well as in settings where people can communicate even when they are speaking different languages! Go Michael Williston!!!
BADGER and a friend
I’m very interested in checking this out. I’d love to be able to communicate better to my longtime colleagues and friends that are deaf, when we see each other at conferences.
This looks incredible. I just wish it had been available when my late grandfather was still with us, it could’ve changed his life as he was almost completely deaf. I tried all kinds of ‘hacks’ and ways to help him communicate with us, but this looks like it would’ve been just the answer. It’s things like this that remind me how much I love technology!
That is awesome where can I send this to the health professionals who have communicated with me so badly? My hearing aids were sent away to be fixed during before Christmas ... The postal strikes meant I was without 'ears' for around 4 weeks, the infections I had in my ears meant I have now suffered further irreversible hearing damage, but the doctors don't want to hold their hands up and be responsible for that, I am so, so angry. This is how a vulnerable, disabled adult with communication issues is treated... Your device is a game changer 🫶🏻🙏🏻
